Today we want to talk about Valentina again (read the previous article “Fashion & Good Taste at the Sun Day of Bormio“), the youngest member of the Martinelli family, flew overseas a few years ago to challenge herself and follow her passions.
“When I arrived in California I enrolled in a sewing class in San Diego to meet new people – she explains – so I discovered a passion that was already inside of me.”
Valentina has always loved to create thanks to her grandma Domenica, the same woman that inspired the new bar inaugurated last December under the name of “Sun Day” Bottega (Domenica in English); inside there is a fashion corner dedicated to the young seamstress’s creations, now branded as Sun Day V-style.
Starting creating mostly clothes, since last October she started to create something new: tailor-made bags and accessories are now her main hobby.
After the last winter leather bags, the colorful Californian summer inspired again Valentina who decided to adopt a new material in her latest creations:
“The idea of the canvas bag came to me thinking about an eco-sustainable project, a theme now very important for everyone. Thinking to create simple shopping bags I challenged myself and I don’t mind the result; in this new challenge I painted for the first time by hand giving life to shopper bags that could be used even during the free time. ”
Few days ago we received from the USA her new V-Style summer collection, immediately put in the fashion corner at Sun Day Bottega with some photos that portray the artist during the creation of her unique pieces.
Valentina is an incessant volcano of ideas: in fact, she confessed that she is already thinking about a new autumn-winter 2018 collection!
