Today we’re dealing with some “record” numbers: 1,000 meters of tables, 3,240 seats at the table, 1,000 kg of pizzoccheri, 26 local restaurateurs and 250 volunteers…

Mark on your calendar this appointment because Sunday, 2 September, in the historical center of Bormio, there will be one of the most anticipated summer events: the longest “pizzoccherata” of Italy is about to arrive!
A long table will be set up in the main streets of the country where, during the morning, there will be demonstrations for both adults and children on the preparation of the main dish of the event: the pizzoccheri!
100% “made in Valtellina” – in particular from the little town of Teglio – the pizzoccheri are our typical dish: they are tagliatelle made from buckwheat flour mixed with the white one, boiled and seasoned with abundant portions of butter, local cheese (better if Casera cheese), potatoes and cabbages.
As already anticipated, during the event as many as 26 local restaurateurs will work together to give life to this exceptional lunch by selling a number of seats each: as usual, at 1:00 pm after the 100 strokes of the Bajona’s bell, the historical tower of Piazza Cavour, the table service will start.
The menu will include drinks (water, wine and bitter), a traditional appetizer of cheese and salami, the famous pizzoccheri, and a slice of a buckwheat cake.

Tickets, already available now, can be purchased online, at the selected restaurant or at Bormio Tourism Office in via Roma 131/b; by August 05th the price will be € 15.00 per person, € 18.00 after that date. **

** In case of bad weather, the event will be canceled. The ticket will be valid and will have validity in the chosen restaurant until 28/02/2019 (excluding the periods 7-9 December 2018 and 22nd December to 6th January 2019).
The holder of the voucher will be entitled to receive a discount on the meal equal to the amount paid at the time of purchase.
